Ross Taylor, MD

Description

Ross J. Taylor, M.D., is a board-certified radiation oncologist at the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Dr. Taylor specializes in treating breast, head and neck, thoracic and genitourinary cancers. He has expertise in using stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy to treat primary gastrointestinal and lung malignancies, stereotactic radiosurgery to treat primary and metastatic central nervous system malignancies, and technology/advancements that aim to reduce acute and late side effects of radiation treatment. Dr. Taylor earned his medical degree and completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He also completed a residency in radiation oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System and served as chief resident during his final year.  Dr. Taylor has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented scientific papers at professional symposiums. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, American College of Radiation Oncology and the American Society for Radiation Oncology. When it comes to patient care, Dr. Taylor offers education and empathy. He ensures that patients and their families have a clear understanding of the diagnosis, the full spectrum of treatment options and the position of radiation therapy in this paradigm. As a former professional musician, Dr. Taylor spends his free time playing the piano, guitar and drums and recording music. He also enjoys running and exercising outside and exploring the dynamic restaurant scene in South Florida with his spouse.
